Tonalá, Jalisco. – Una familia de Virginia, Estados Unidos, sufrió un violento asalto en la autopista a Zapotlanejo, resultando en el graveThe child of 7 years old was shot when they resisted an attempted robbery. The incident took place early in the morning near Arroyo de Enmedio.
According to police reports, an armed individual approached the family, intending to steal their belongings. A physical altercation ensued between the assailant and the father, during which the weapon was discharged. The father sustained an injury to his right arm, and the young boy, who was in the rear of the vehicle, was also struck.
The child was urgently transported to Hospital Centro de Tonalá, where medical personnel are working to stabilize him due to the severity of the head wound. Despite a police search operation in the area of the attack, the perpetrator has not been apprehended. U.S. diplomatic authorities have not yet issued statements regarding this violent incident in Jalisco.
